Comb

YOUR BUSINESS. YOUR WAY.

CARE GOES BOTH WAYS.

Your business.
Your boundaries.
Non-negotiable.

You take care of people for a living. That shouldn’t mean putting up with everything. Comb gives independent beauty pros more context before the appointment—and more control over who gets to book one.

Why this is personal

WHY COMB EXISTS

This isn’t a checkbox.
It’s personal.

Mike & Kari THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WHY

Comb started with a line that should never have been crossed.

Mike’s wife, Kari, had a frightening experience with a client. There were threats. The kind of experience no one should have to accept as part of doing their job.

Comb was born out of that experience. Not just to help independent professionals run a business, but to give them more context, more control, and more support when it comes to the people they welcome into it.

That’s why safety is part of how Comb works. It has been personal from the beginning.

A CLIENT HISTORY THAT STAYS CONNECTED

More than a name
in a time slot.

Comb connects a client to a consistent record, so relevant history doesn’t have to start from scratch with each professional. That foundation helps bring booking behavior, professional ratings, and booking protections together.

It gives you a more informed starting point before someone sits in your chair, lies on your treatment table, or walks into your studio.

Shared context. Thoughtful access. Professional review details still need the author’s approval before another pro can read them.

YOUR SETTINGS. YOUR COMFORT LEVEL.
Comb’s actual online booking screening settings: five client confirmation levels and a separate Beehavior minimum.

BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT

Open for business.
On your terms.

01 / CLIENT CONFIRMATION

A little more than “trust me.”

Comb works with a specialist verification platform to check whether a client’s phone and account details belong together. Your Security settings let you choose how much confirmation you want before someone can book online.

Choose from Open, Flexible, Balanced, Careful, or Strict. The level is yours to set.

02 / BEEHAVIOR

A heads-up before they show up.

No-shows. Late cancellations. Late arrivals. Professional reviews. Beehavior brings recorded client behavior into a score you can see before the next appointment.

Set a minimum score for online booking, or leave it off. Clients without history aren’t held back by that minimum.

Screening helps you make informed decisions. It doesn’t guarantee a person’s identity, conduct, or safety.

PRO-TO-PRO. WITH PERMISSION.

Clients review you.
You get a voice, too.

Good experiences deserve context. Difficult ones do, too. Professional reviews give you a way to record what another beauty pro might need to know.

THE EXPERIENCE, IN YOUR WORDS.

  1. 01

    Share your experience.

After a completed service, leave a professional review of the client. Record useful context, and flag serious concerns when needed.

  2. 02

A rating first. Details by request.

Other professionals connected to the client can see the rating. The written review stays private until access is approved.

  3. 03

    The author has the say.

A professional can request access to the review. The person who wrote it decides whether to share the detail.

A FULL CALENDAR ISN’T WORTH EVERY CLIENT.

“No” is a
complete sentence.

When you decide a client can no longer book with you, Comb gives that boundary more than a note in their profile.

01

A ban shouldn’t be a suggestion.

Ban a client from booking with your business. Their future appointments with you are removed, too.

02

Look beyond one account.

Additional checks help recognize attempts to book again through a connected identity. A new account shouldn’t make your boundary meaningless.

03

Keep control of the relationship.

Your business’s ban is yours to manage. Comb lets you review your banned clients and lift a ban if you decide to.

These protections apply to your booking relationship. They aren’t a promise that every attempt to return will be detected.

YOUR TIME DESERVES BACKUP, TOO.

A card on file.
Not wishful thinking.

Saving a card should come with a little due diligence. Bee Paid adds checks before that card becomes part of your booking relationship.

Prepaid? Not for keeping on file.

Bee Paid screens out cards identified as gift or prepaid cards when clients save a card. They’re asked to use a debit or credit card instead.

Check it before you need it.

Bee Paid runs an authorization check when a client adds a card. It’s more than collecting a card number and hoping for the best.

Expired means replace it.

Expired saved cards can’t be selected in the booking card picker. Clients need a current card to continue where a card is required.

An authorization check is not a hold for the full future appointment amount or a guarantee that a later charge will succeed.

CLEAR ABOUT WHAT COUNTS

More confidence.
Grounded in context.

You deserve to understand what’s helping protect your business—and where your judgment still matters.

Is Beehavior a safety guarantee?

No. Beehavior gives you context from recorded client activity, including booking behavior and professional reviews. It is a signal to help you make a decision, not a prediction that someone will or won’t cause harm.

Are these criminal background checks?

No. Comb uses a verification partner to help check phone and account details. These are checks of contact details and whether account information matches, not criminal background checks.

What do my screening settings control?

They control access to online booking with your business. Choose a client-confirmation level and, separately, a minimum Beehavior score. Existing clients and clients you add yourself retain their existing confirmation access; clients without booking history aren’t penalized by the Beehavior minimum.

Can every professional read a client review?

No. Written reviews are shared by request. The author approves access before another professional can read them. A shared client record does not make those reviews public.

Why don’t you explain every check?

You should understand the tools you have and the decisions you control. We explain those clearly. We keep the detailed detection methods private so they’re harder to work around.

INDEPENDENT. NEVER ON YOUR OWN.

Your talent is the job.
Taking abuse isn’t.

Let’s show you a business setup with your boundaries built in.
